Charlton Heston, El Cid por antonomasia
ReplyDeleteAs much flack as the man takes for his later years as a conservative mouthpiece, it pains me to see so many forget all the other causes that he championed.
ReplyDeleteIn our house growing up, the man was a saint - and I have nothing but respect for one of the toughest SOBs that ever walked the planet.
Goodnight, Chuck. I'll miss you.
Another Icon that will be missed.
ReplyDeleteWhat movie is that second picture from, the one with the Danger Diabolik suit and raygun. Looks sweet!
ReplyDeleteThe second picture is from "The Omega Man."
ReplyDeleteI've seen that El Cid is now out in a really nice new DVD set. Very tempted to pick it up and have a little El Cid / Omega Man double feature of awesomeness. Whisky drinking will be a requirement.
ReplyDeletesorry for your lost i watched his movies love them and i have some wish we could of met him and the family but as you no not ,,, he will always be with us sorry,, he was the man
