An ounce of preparation...
Thanks to Netflix I spent the other day watching a Jericho marathon. Now I'm not an alarmist or anything but would it be so bad to stock up on a few more cans of soup and powerbars in the pantry and maybe buy a couple of extra boxes of shells for the Remington?
Well those are thoughts for another day. I'm off to start this book I just ran across...

That's a great book. I read it years ago.
ReplyDeleteAnother book, if you can find it, is Shiva Decending by Gregory Benford and William Rotsler. It has a similar plot but was a good read for me.
ReplyDeleteI liked Jericho too and hated to see it canceled.

I have Lucifer's hammer. seems like maybe I read it but I'm not sure. Will have to check my files.
ReplyDeleteLucifer's Hammer. Yeah, stock up on supplies. Or something unfortunate may happen.
ReplyDeleteI remember buying Lucifer's Hammer when it came out. I have read it at least twice.
ReplyDeleteJericho is a fine example of a series that should have and could have been great. Networks can't seem to stick with anything anymore.
If you really want to be scared check our "One Second After" by William R. Forstchen. Made me fill my Amazon Wishlist with Worst Case books!
Outstanding book, but you need to power your way through the first 100-150 pages which is the set up portion of the novel. It almost reads like a soap opera until the event happens and then it s fantastic!
