This was my first exposure to Sword & Sorcery back in 1973 I was a wee lad perusing my grandfathers collection of war and horror comics when I ran across this cover. Game over baby, I was hooked.
If you dont mind a virtual copy, head over to Dave's site and download some good times.

ReplyDeleteWoot, thanks for the link! That cover would have done me in too!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you were hooked!
ReplyDeleteaw jeffy...ya never stood a chance did ya!?
ReplyDeleteA glorious cover like that is a magent to fellas like us..
I have much love for those .20 cent DC Comics, when I was seven years old (1973), my Nana would send me to the corner store to buy her a pack of smokes..the cig's cost .80 cents and I would have 20 cents left over to do with as I pleased.. I lived in a province with no sales tax so I would buy her cigerettes and bring home a DC comics..
that is one bad ass cover! thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteDeifnitely going to check it out. I think my first intro to Sword and Sorcery was Kyrik; Warlock, Warrior, which had a nifty cover too.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure that this is legal?
ReplyDeleteR.
Hello Evil DM,
ReplyDeleteI love your website. Now, this cover is great. I wasn't born yet when it came out (but I was born about a year later), but I love the sword & sorcery material from that era. The 80s and 90s never had something quite like that.
I had a problem with the download, though. From Dave's site, I only get a big .rar file that I acn't open. What program do I need for .rar?
