I love westerns set in Mexico. Once Simon is done with Guns of Laredo" I'm coming out with a source-book dealing with western characters adventuring outside of traditional settings. I'm calling it "Beyond Laredo".

Manly Monday - South of the border, down Mexico way
I spent today writing. In the background I have three of my favorite westerns playing.
I love westerns set in Mexico. Once Simon is done with Guns of Laredo" I'm coming out with a source-book dealing with western characters adventuring outside of traditional settings. I'm calling it "Beyond Laredo".

I love Two Mules for Sister Sarah. Great flick. Also, Shirley McClain makes for a very hot nun.
ReplyDeleteI like all three of those movies, especially the Professional. i even found a copy of the book it is based on A Mule for the Marquessa. A couple more movies I would add to the list of favorite westerns in Mexico is The Wild Bunch and 100 Rifles.
ReplyDeleteJason- Spot on dude. Shirley Maclaine could wear a potato sack and make it look sexy.
ReplyDeleteCol.- I see you are a connoisseur, I have a burned DVD copy of 100 rifles which I treasure-I never found a DVD version of it.
I will also add to the list
Villa Rides- Robert Mitchum.
Vera Cruz - Gary Cooper and Burt Lancaster
What about Adios, Zapata. You can watch it on Hulu now for free. Yule Brenner in old Mexico, teams up with some revolutionary bandits, including a guy who kills with Flamenco Dancing and another by launching steel balls off his foot!
